Focused on improving mathematics education in rural counties, the Rural Math Collaborative (RMC) is a consortium of 20 Northern California Counties, funded by a grant from the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence (CCEE) through a grant to the Lake County Office of Education (LCOE).

This project supports the communications and outreach efforts of NASA's Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope and the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory.

The Copeland Creek Community Trail and Garden Initiative creates an interactive walking trail and community garden along the Copeland Creek watershed, linking Sonoma State University to Rancho Cotati High School.

Provide training materials/instructions that delineate how the earning capacity model/calculator arrives at the output amount based on each specific entry. Provide, as part of the training materials, canned language that explains the basis of each output and adjustment to outputs that the LCSAs can use in their documentation of the earning capacity.

To maintain the innovative, rural, distance graduate Family Nurse Practitioner Program (FNP) at Sonoma State University (SSU). The Master of Science degree and the Post-Master's degree FNP Program utilizes faculty to help coordinate distance sites and provide experiences in under-served areas in North-Central California and in the Central Valley.

Our research team will develop new methods for quantifying behavioral responses of California sea lions exposed to military sonar. This research fills an important data gap because while California sea lions occur in high numbers in Navy testing and operational areas, controlled exposure experiments have never been conducted with this species.

Historically, SCUBA diving, including scientific diving, has been an exclusive endeavor that has primarily favored white people from privileged socio-economic backgrounds. Despite the ethnic, cultural and societal makeup of California, the proportion of professional SCUBA divers does not reflect our diverse society.

This is a supplement to Dr. Miller Bordisso's direct award from U.S. Department of Energy. California State University, Stanislaus will provide supplemental funds via subaward for the project to support SSU students enrolled in the project as trainees. Dr. Miller Bordisso will serve as their mentor.
