As part of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval process, SSU, in partnership with Murata Vios, will conduct a clinical research project to determine the accuracy of a novel temperature monitoring device. The device, known as "Moni-Patch" is applied to the side of a person's neck using double-stick adhesive.

To maintain the innovative, rural, distance graduate Family Nurse Practitioner Program (FNP) at Sonoma State University (SSU). The Master of Science degree and the Post-Master's degree FNP Program utilizes faculty to help coordinate distance sites and provide experiences in under-served areas in North-Central California and in the Central Valley.
